Innovation in Hume: Welcoming Mayor Cr Carly Moore to the IPS Factory
Sustainable Manufacturing in Action
We were thrilled to recently welcome the Mayor of Hume City Council, Cr Carly Moore, to the Innovative Plastic Solutions (IPS) factory on Sydney Road where Supercart products are made.
The delegation was given a first hand look at our specialized manufacturing process, which centers on turning recycled Australian post-consumer plastic into high-quality retail solutions. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how we are innovating through local design and recycled materials to create tangible applications for upcycled plastic—all while supporting local jobs.
Spotlight: The New Australian-Designed 215L Trolley
The highlight of the tour was our newest addition to the fleet: the 215L shopping trolley.
As pictured above, this trolley represents the pinnacle of our current sustainability efforts. It isn't just assembled here; the 215L model is:
Proudly Designed in Australia: Engineered specifically for the needs of the Australian retail market.
Locally Moulded: Injection moulded on-site at our Sydney Road facility.
100% Post-Consumer Plastic: Crafted from recycled Australian materials, giving new life to local waste.
By combining local design expertise with advanced recycling technology, we are proving that the circular economy can thrive right here in Hume.
